Ringmaster Rubbing Oil was invented by Frank B. Sewell in 1950, and has been manufactured by Painex Corporation, using the same pain-relieving formula, for 53 years.

Since inventing Ringmaster Rubbing Oil in 1950, Frank B. Sewell, now 87, has committed his life to relieving the pain and suffering of others. Mr. Sewell can still be found daily at the helm of Painex Corporation, the company that manufactures and distributes Ringmaster, at 18295 James Couzens in Detroit, Michigan. The offices of Painex Corporation are filled with numerous plaques, articles, tributes, photos, letters, videos, audio tapes, and other testimonies to the amazing pain-relieving properties of "The Original Misery Master."

In 1947, prompted by his own continuing bouts with pain, Mr. Sewell began to search for a medication that would relieve body aches and pains. Even though he possessed a chemical background, developing an effective product that would embody his spiritual, philosophical and historical beliefs would not be an easy task. In fact, he struggled, unsuccessfully, for three years attempting to perfect a workable formula, consistent with the great works of the late Dr. George Washington Carver, who discovered the many bi-products of the peanut.

Late one night, in 1949, Mr. Sewell had a dream in which Dr. Carver revealed the correct formula; the secret of how to combine the ingredients into a rich blend of medicated oil. Afterward, Sewell traveled as far as India and Japan giving away as many bottles of oil as he sold. His lifelong mission to reduce the pain and suffering of others continues to this day.

Frank B. Sewell, founder and CEO of the Painex Corporation, along with his son, Douglas Sewell, have carefully researched the effects of their medicated peanut oil on arthritis and other painful conditions. The Sewells have collected more than 3,000 hours of video and audio-taped conversations and testimonies from people who have used Ringmaster Rubbing Oil and are happy to tell of the results they have achieved. Mr. Sewell's office is open every day of the week for any person who might be skeptical of Ringmaster's remarkable pain-relieving properties.

Throughout its 53 years of manufacturing and distributing Ringmaster, the Painex Corporation has received accolades from several world dignitaries, including Dr. Austin Curtis (who worked with Dr. George Washington Carver), Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Painex continues to be a family owned and operated business. In addition to president and CEO, Frank B. Sewell, and his son, Douglas, several other family members are involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.
